I became a Medical Technologist in 1979 in California. I
lived and worked in the San Francisco area as a generalist
until moving to Ann Arbor in 1995. At this point I started
a job in the Blood Bank at the University of Michigan. I received
my SBB certification in 2000. I worked on the afternoon shift
and in bone marrow transplant prior to becoming a supervisor
in 2006. I have been a member of MABB since coming to Michigan.
I became active in the organization by serving on the Spring
Committee and the Education Committee.
I love Blood Banking, but have some other interests as well!
I enjoy sewing, knitting, and crocheting. I like living in
Ann Arbor because it is a great walking town. Whenever I can,
I try to get away for some hiking.
